What clothing do I need for my ski and snowboarding holiday?

Renting your ski and snowboarding gear from us is easy and efficient? What else do you need to consider?

What ski and snowboarding clothing can you hire?

We recommend our clothing hire to get you started for your packing list for your ski or snowboard holiday. Here is a list of some clothing that you would consider whilst skiing or snowboarding (our clothing works for both).

Clothing that we rent/hire

  • Ski Jacket / Snowboard Jacket - these can be rented

  • Ski Pants / Snowboard Pants (or salopettes) - these can be rented

  • Ski Goggles / Snowboard Goggles - these can be rented

  • Ski Gloves / Snowboard Gloves - these can be rented

Experience has proved to us that posting your ski and snowboarding hire to your home is best, as you can then use the jacket (and maybe pants) to travel in. The transfers can be cold so it is best that you are sorted before you get to resort. It also means that you are ready to get out immediately to enjoy the mountain air.

What accessories do you need to buy?

Clothing that you should have (many of you will have these items already) - visit our Accessory Shop

  • Ski socks / snowboard socks - remember that you get a free pair of socks from us - we recommend taking at least 3 pairs for a weeks skiing holiday, we do sell extras

  • Thermal Base layers - quick drying synthetic base layers, good to have a top and leggings.

  • Fleece/mid-layer - again quick drying

  • Neckie - grab one of our Neckies which acts like a scarf but will not get caught up or tangled

  • Hat and sunglasses for in the restaurants - you will be wearing a helmet and goggles whilst skiing or snowboarding but you will not need these whilst sipping a hot chocolate!

  • Sturdy pair of boots - best to have a waterproof pair of walking boots or similar for the evenings

Ski and Snowboarding Equipment Rental

  • For your ski and snowboarding equipment rental (ski hire, snowboard hire, ski boot hire, snowboard boot hire, ski helmet hire, snowboard boot hire) it is best to get these in the resort and find a shop close to your accommodation or the ski lift
